Jillian Harris Talks Wedding Plans

Jillian Harris and fiancé Ed Swiderski made an appearance at Jason and Molly Mesnick's wedding. Now, "The Insider" talks to the Canadian cutie to find out what her life is like since moving to Chicago and getting engaged to the man of her dreams.

"The Insider": How are you adjusting to life in Chicago?

Jillian Harris: I am adjusting fine. Chicago is so much like Canada. The weather is cold; it snows a lot. The people are very friendly. I fit in really well with all of Ed's friends. We finally have a place that is big enough for the two of us. I love decorating it. I love spending time in it. I feel at home here.

"The Insider": On "The Bachelor: Jason and Molly's Wedding," you and Ed talked about planning your wedding. How is that going?

Jillian Harris: The wedding is pretty much planned. We have everything written down and picked out and, let me tell you this, it is going to be incredible. We have the coolest ideas on how we are going to decorate it, what music we are going to have, and what dress I am going to wear. It is going to be wicked. But there are two things we haven't figured out yet: When it is going to be, and whether or not we are going to televise it. Those are the two things we have to decide.

"The Insider": The ratings on Jason and Molly's wedding weren't that good. I wonder if that is because Jason dumped Melissa Rycroft before switching to Molly. At this point, you are probably way more popular than he is.

Jillian Harris: I wondered that, too. The wedding was beautiful. For their own sakes, I don't think they cared too much about the ratings, and I know I wouldn't either. I'd care more about the experience. I know ABC cares about the ratings, and that would make a difference on whether or not we would even have the opportunity to have [our wedding] televised. But I did think about that.

All the viewers watched Ed and I fall in love. There were 12 million viewers who watched both seasons of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette." So, 12 million viewers watched Jason and Molly fall in love; and 12 million viewers watched Ed and I fall in love. 1.8 million magazine readers read about Jason and Molly falling in love; while 1.8 million readers read about Ed and I going through pretty much turmoil with everything that happened after the show because of the tabloids.

So, there was a bit more exposure on our relationship, I guess. At the same time, broadcasting the wedding is different. I don't think you are going to have as many viewers because "The Bachelor" is a continual story about the development of a relationship. With a wedding, everybody knows what is going to happen: They are going to get married, where with "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette," there is always that level of anticipation. It doesn't surprise me that the ratings weren't through the roof. Jason and Molly are not performers, so I think all they cared about was whether or not the day was perfect for them.

"The Insider": That $45,000 Monique Lhuillier dress Molly wore was so gorgeous.

Jillian Harris: Her dress was amazing. They are such well-rounded, down-to-earth individuals. I am concerned that if I did a public wedding, Ed and I would get distracted with all the cameras and not get to enjoy each other. When I watched Jason and Molly, they didn't let the rain faze them, nor the cameras faze them. It was very inspiring to see that.

"The Insider": I will watch your wedding if you decide to do it on TV.

Jillian Harris: Thank you. We still have to decide. The parents want us to do it, but the friends want us to do it private.
